  • Overview

    MGO Strategic Staffing is looking for a part time Accountant for our client in the Orinda, CA area. This position is approximately 20 hours a week.  In this position,  the Accountant would be responsible for a variety of accounting duties which include journal entry preparation, bank reconciliation, assistance with budget and budget book documents ( excel and word based), monthly reconciliations, and grant management.  Qualified candidates must have at least 3-5 years government accounting experience.  Experience with QuickBooks preferred.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Prepare Journal Entries (allocation of payroll, interest/banking items, staff costs allocated to projects)
    • Monthly tie of GL for Report to City Council
    • Bank Reconciliation
    • Reconcile cash account
    • Assist with prep for Audit (Interim Audit is done; however, could be year-end items)
    • Set up new vendors
    • SOFTWARE:  Abila/MIP (used by some non-profits and small government agencies)
